At Spirit Adventures, we recognize the seriousness of the impacts the COVID-19 Virus and subsequent attempts to deter its spread and preparations for times of self-quarantine. We wish for the health and safety of all our staff and clients, and for all our communities. While we have chosen to continue operations, for now, we want to share with you the precautions we are taking to minimize the impacts we may have on your program and attempt to keep both you and us safer.
- We will continue to perform inspection and repair services for facilities located outdoors. We will do our best to minimize personal contact and maintain social distancing as per recommendations. You may wish the have a representative unlock any areas that need to be unlocked prior to our arrival so we don’t have to transfer a key.
- We ask that you inform us if there is any projected use of your course or equipment within 48 hours of our visit. Since the virus is believed to be unable to live longer than this on surfaces, we feel that the timing of our visit will provide the necessary timeframe to eliminate the risk of spread of the virus through contact with courses or equipment.
- As we travel, our staff has been tasked with the following measure to keep all of us safer:
- Frequent handwashing or cleaning.
- Stay home if you are not feeling well.
- Minimize time in establishments necessary for our travel, such as shopping, dining, travel needs, etc.
- Eliminate large gatherings.
- We will be postponing any travel or inspection and repair that requires us to be in indoor areas, particularly schools or large community centers until after April 16. If your inspection or training is scheduled prior to that, we will contact you to discuss options. Also, if you have a local policy or regulation that would prohibit us from visiting your location, please inform us so that we can make the appropriate adjustments.
Hopefully, some common sense, coming together as a community for the common good, and reasonable precautions, will help us all stay safe as we navigate the uncertainty. We ask for your patience and understanding as we adjust our schedule to do what we feel is the best thing for everyone involved. And we encourage you to do what you need to do to keep yourself, your staff, and your loved ones as safe and healthy as possible in the days and weeks ahead.
